O2Security SifoML Series Overview:

SifoML is a mail security gateway device equipped with a wide range of mailprotection mechanisms. The system provides the 7 “A”s in mail security: Antispam, Anti-virus, Anti-spyware, Anti-phishing, Anti-relay, Anti-hacking and Anti-DoS. Deployed at the front of the mail server, SifoML provides deep layer inspection into mail contents, detecting and filtering threats (such as spam mails, viruses, phishing mails, trojans, worms, network viruses, hackers etc.) that are embedded in mails which cannot be detected by traditional firewall.

Main SifoML functions:

1. 7As of Mail Protection

Anti-Spam – Reduces the amount of time spent on clearing spam mails. Also raises the mail server's efficiency.
Anti-Virus – Uses ICSA-certified anti-virus engine (optional purchase) to block all virus-infected mails. Anti-Spyware – Detects and blocks mail containing spyware using a Web Coast Labs certified spyware engine (100% spyware detection).
Anti-Phishing – Prevents users from accidentally clicking links in spam mails that lead to phishing sites.
Anti-Relay – Prevents spammers from sending spam mails via the protected mail server using Open Relay.
Anti-DoS – Prevents malicious DoS attacks or viruses that may disrupt services.
Anti-Hacking – Prevents hackers from using SMTP loopholes to bypass traditional firewall systems and install Trojan applications.

2. Mail Management

Mail Archive – Archives all mails transmitted through SifoML, including mail content and attached files.
Mail Statistics – Generates daily, weekly, monthly and yearly mail statistics base on the number of mails and mail size.
Mail Analysis – Ranks and categorizes mails according to the sender and recipient addresses.
Mail Report – Generate reports base on statistical information.
Mail Audit – Logs all mails sent and received for audit purposes to deter leakage of company’s confidential information.
Mail Search – Search for specific mails quickly by using SifoML’s unique search engine.
Mail Control – Control actions performed on specific mails such as forwarding the mail, mail routing and alias forwarding.
